Developments at Amani Tiwi Beach Resort are well underway and there is a real beehive of activity on site.  Much of the actual building work has been completed including work on the Business Centre, administration Building and main Restaurant.  All building work on the bedrooms has been completed and they are now ready for electrical work, plumbing, decorating and furnishing.

The resort is realising its philosophy to be more conscientious of the environment with the implementation of a solar power system.  Work has begun on this and currently the framework for the solar panels is being created. 

Management is currently in the process of procuring materials such as tiles for the floors and materials for the furniture and it is expected that decoration of the completed areas will begin soon.  The theme of the decor is very much in keeping with the resorts philosophy to be more aware of the environment and will use eco friendly materials where possible in both furnishings and decoration. 

As we await final confirmation of the opening date for Amani Tiwi Beach Resort we would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal clients and partners for the support and assistance that has been provided to date.  We look forward to welcoming you all back to ‘Paradise under African skies’.

As we gear up for the opening of Amani Tiwi Beach Resort and await further information and dates, we have decided to take a trip down memory lane. Following the fire in 2009, we received phenomenal response and support via our blog, facebook and Twitter sites, as well as emails from clients who shared some of their favourite moments at Tiwi with us.  In recognition of this, we have decided to dedicate the latest issue of our newsletter to our loyal guests,  and who better to contribute than our clients who have made Tiwi a ‘home from home’ over the years.  All information and images in the newsletter have been provided by clients and edited by us. Amani Tiwi Beach Resort recently exhibited at the ITB which took place at the Messe in Berlin between the 10^th and 14^th March 2010.  ITB is an annual event which attracts more than 180,000 visitors from all over the world. With over 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries, ITB Berlin is the leading Business to Business platform for all that is associated with the travel industry.

Amani Tiwi Beach Resort exhibited as part of the Kenya Tourist Board stand alongside various other delegates and exhibitors from Kenyan tourism industry.  The Kenya Stand welcomed a large number of visitors throughout the event as people were keen to find out what this upcoming travel destination has to offer. Trade representatives and visitors alike were greeted with traditional Kenyan hospitality and warmth and entertainment was provided in the form of refreshments including the famous ‘Dawa’ drink of Kenya and live performances by the world renowned ‘Safari Cats’ on the 13^th and 14^th March.

Representatives from Amani Tiwi Beach Resort used this unique opportunity to network and inform the industry and public of the latest developments at the resort.

Light airy design influenced by nature and the ocean

Construction work at Amani Tiwi Beach Resort is currently well underway and the resort is set to open later on this year.  There is a beehive of activity with the roofing structure currently being put in place.  It is expected that roofing will be by the middle of next month at which point decorating and furnishing will begin.  The Coffee Shop, Business Centre, Administration Building and Main Restaurant have all been built and are ready for plastering, decorating and furnishing.

Amani Tiwi Beach Resort prides itself on being able to cater for the needs of a diverse clientele.  For this reason, 4 new rooms are being built to accommodate people with disabilities.  These rooms will include wider doors for people with wheelchairs, ramps for easy access and easy access bathroom facilities.  The resort aims to become more easily accessible for people with disabilities.  In Addition to the Standard and superior room categories that were available before, the resort is now also  introducing 16 deluxe superior rooms which will be decorated and furnished to the highest of standards.

The new decor for Amani Tiwi Beach Resort has now been confirmed and management is currently in the process of procuring materials such as tiles for the floors and materials for the furniture.  The theme of the decor is very much in keeping with the resorts philosophy to be more conscientious of the environment and will use eco friend materials where possible in the furnishing and decoration.  The design of the resort is chic and flowing with natural colours and influence taken from nature and the ocean.
